What's in your cream?? Skin care products are loaded with hidden toxins. There hasn't been a law to regulate safety in skin care in over 75 years! It's important to educate yourself about what to avoid. Learn the essential ingredients to create an effective and safe cream for your own skin.

Join me for an informational and hands-on workshop. We will discuss some of the elements which are toxic to your skin and we will learn an easy way to make your own natural face cream. Understand how simple ingredients, from your own garden, or sourced from pure botanicals, are best for all types of skin. We will make a 2 ounce jar of light, fresh cream that will help maintain healthy skin, restore a youthful glow, and prevent and treat signs of aging.

We will make cream from a proven recipe, adapted from internationally respected herbalist, Rosemary Gladstar. The essential ingredients include: organic unrefined coconut oil, organic unrefined sunflower oil, aloe gel, homemade hydrosols, vitamin E, calendula flowers, rose petals and essential oils. In addition to the cream, take home a calendula plant! Raised from seed, and ready to plant in your own garden, calendula flowers from this plant are an essential ingredient to homemade face cream.

We have all enjoyed the natural beauty of an herb garden, in it's peak, during the summer. Did you know that there are blooms, fruits, seeds, roots, and leaves ready to harvest and use in plant medicine? I am happy to romp in my garden and demonstrate the variety and potential of plants I have cultivated, as well as the ones that are just popping up as “weeds”. The plants of your garden can provide culinary delights, as well as the essential ingredients for medicine and beauty making.

We were delighted to hold a workshop where we all gathered to learn how to make a natural, 100% organic and chemical free, cream! If you can cook, you can make your own natural products. It was a beautiful day, so we visited the garden to identify and learn about a variety of medicinal plants. Students learned which plants to use to make their own specialized cream, how to dry them, process them, and finally how to blend them into a cream one can use anytime, night or day. The students loved taking home their luxurious creams.

It was truly a summer camp day for your soul!
